ARCH 1162 - "Bricks as Image" part 10 (Tank Stream Way, 333 George Street, Sydney, New South Wales)

The Tanks Stream Way building seems like a old and cultural building within the city. The bricks around the building seemed weathered out and aging. The bricks in this building will be partially for decorating and partially for structural reasons.
When first built the building would of been stunning with the rendering and colour however after years of exposure to the natural elements we could see from the texture of the bricks that it has been eaten away and the mortar looks like if it is disappearing.
Even though it is clearly aging on the cover of the building continuous paint and repainting has given the building a slightly non old image. On the ground level the bricks were rendered with cream paint to maintain the splendour of the entrance.
